INÉDITO (Des)cubriendo la luz, así se títula la muestra integrada por 45 fotografías de José Hernández-Claire que se exhiben durante todo octubre en la Galería Jorge Martínez del Centro Univertisatio de Arte, Arquitectura y Diseño de la Universidad de Guadalajara  ubicada en Belén 120

La muestra se realizó en el marco de la Semana de la Fotografía organizada por dicha casa de estudios,  gracias a un apoyo del programa Proyecta de la Secretaría de Cultura del Gobierno del Estado de Jalisco.

El horario para visitar la muestra es de 10:00 a 18:00 horas. La entrada es gratuita.

INÉDITO (Des)cubriendo la luz is the title of the exhibition, comprised of 45 photographs by José Hernández-Claire, on view throughout October at the Jorge Martínez Gallery of the University Center for Art, Architecture, and Design of the University of Guadalajara, located at Belén 120.
The exhibition was held as part of Photography Week, organized by the university, thanks to support from the Proyecta program of the Ministry of Culture of the Government of the State of Jalisco.
Visiting hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is free.

La cantante Katy Perry y el ex primer ministro canadiense Justin Trudeau fueron vistos besándose en un yate frente a la costa de Santa Bárbara, California, según fotos obtenidas por el Daily Mail el 12 de octubre.
Las fotografías confirman la relación que existía entre ellos, ya que desde junio pasado se les había visto juntos en Montreal, durante algunos días que coincidieron con la gira de la cantante por esa región.

Singer Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were spotted kissing on a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, according to photos obtained by the Daily Mail on October 12th.
The photographs confirm their relationship, as they had been seen together in Montreal since last June, for a few days during the singer’s tour of the region.

El Centro Universitario de Guadalajara (CUDGL) y la Dirección de Cultura de Guadalajara invitan al Tercer Congreso Latinoamericano de Gestión Cultural que busca conectar la experiencia local con las reflexiones latinoamericanas sobre la cultura como motor de cambio en una ciudad pionera en México en el impulso de políticas culturales de base comunitaria y participación ciudadana.

The Guadalajara University Center (CUDGL) and the Guadalajara Department of Culture invite you to the Third Latin American Congress on Cultural Management, which seeks to connect local experience with Latin American reflections on culture as a driver of change in a pioneering city in Mexico in promoting community-based cultural policies and citizen participation.

The event is open to those interested in cultural management and the general public. Registration will be open until October 21st. El Marigalante se hundió el 10 de octubre  frente al Hotel Buenaventura de Puerto Vallarta y el suceso despertó reacciones opuestas en redes sociales. La empresa propietaria, anunció que pronto adquirirá otra embarcación similar de nombre Jolly Roger, para continuar ofreciendo sus shows temáticos acorde al estilo de la nave.

En 1980 la asociación Mar, hombre y paz, quiso replicar una copia fiel de la Santa María, (la nave en la que Cristóbal Colón cruzó el Altántico). La construcción de esta réplica con capacidad para 240 pasajeros se realizó entre 1980 y 1987 en Alvarado Veracruz, después de navegar por el Atlántico a España, regresar y cruzar por el canal de Panamá para continuar sus viajes por el Pacífico y en 1992 partició en actos del V Centenario del Descubrimiento de América. Fue a principios de los 90 que llegó a Puerto Vallarta en donde los turistas podían ser parte de su tripulación y disfrutar de los tours y shows diurnos y nocturnos que ofrecía.

The Marigalante sank on October 10th off the Buenaventura Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, sparking mixed reactions on social media. The company that owns it announced it would soon acquire another similar vessel named the Jolly Roger, to continue offering its themed shows in keeping with the ship’s style.

In 1980, the association «Mar, hombre y paz» (Sea, man, and peace) wanted to replicate a faithful copy of the Santa María (the ship on which Christopher Columbus crossed the Atlantic). This replica, with a capacity for 240 passengers, was built between 1980 and 1987 in Alvarado, Veracruz. The ship sailed across the Atlantic to Spain, returned, and crossed the Panama Canal to continue its voyages across the Pacific. In 1992, it participated in events marking the Fifth Centennial of the Discovery of America. It was in the early 90s that he arrived in Puerto Vallarta, where tourists could be part of his crew and enjoy the daytime and nighttime tours and shows he offered.

La escultura de la educadora y humanista Irene Robledo que se develó el 12 de octubre en la explanada de la Rectoría General de la Universidad de Guadalajara en el marco de los festejos del centenario de dicha institución. La realizó el artista jalisciense Rubén Orozco Loza, que se caracteriza por su estilo hiperrealista.

De acuerdo con el artista la pieza de 2.10 metros y 200 kilogramos se elaboró en bronce a lo largo de un proceso de más de cuatro meses y que incluyó el modelado tridimensional en plastilina y su impresión en una máquina impresora 3D.  

The sculpture of educator and humanist Irene Robledo was unveiled on October 12th on the esplanade of the University of Guadalajara’s General Rector’s Office as part of the institution’s centennial celebrations. It was created by Jalisco-based artist Rubén Orozco Loza, who is known for his hyperrealistic style.

According to the artist, the 2.10-meter, 200-kilogram piece was cast in bronze over a process that took more than four months and included three-dimensional modeling in clay and printing on a 3D printer.
