Papirolas llegó a su edición 30 y puede disfrutarse del 1 al 5 de octubre en el Centro Cultural Universitario de la Universidad de Guadalajara bajo la temática Viaje al pasado.
Durante la inauguración del festival la rectora de esta casa universitaria Karla Planter recordó que a lo largo de todos estos años Papirolas ha recibido más de dos millones de aistentes y durante los últimos años se ha extendido a diferentes municipios de Jalisco beneficiando a 180 mil pequeños.

Marcela García Bátiz, Directora de Papirolas, agradeció a todo el equipo que conforma la inmensa familia de Papirolas y mencionó que, bajo la temática de “Viaje al Pasado”, se buscará recordar el crecimiento, transformación y la historia del festival. En la inauguración estuvieron presentes algunos representantes de gobiernos municipales y del gobierno estatal.

Papirolas reached its 30th edition and can be enjoyed from October 1st to 5th at the University Cultural Center of the University of Guadalajara under the theme «Journey to the Past.»
During the festival’s opening, the university’s rector, Karla Planter, recalled that over the years, Papirolas has welcomed more than two million attendees and in recent years has expanded to different municipalities in Jalisco, benefiting 180,000 children.

Marcela García Bátiz, Director of Papirolas, thanked the entire team that makes up the immense Papirolas family and mentioned that, under the theme «Journey to the Past,» the festival will seek to commemorate the growth, transformation, and history of the festival. Representatives from municipal and state governments were present at the opening.

Para fortalecer el acceso a la cultura, la educación y la música como herramientas de transformación social en polígonos de vulnerabilidad, se realizó la renovación del convenio con el Programa ECOS, Música para la Paz, firmado entre el Gobierno de Jalisco, a través de la Secretaría de Cultura, y el Gobierno de Guadalajara.

La renovación se realizó en el segundo aniversario de la Colmena Balcones del Cuatro, para reafirmar el compromiso de la Colmena como un espacio vivo que impulsa la identidad, la unión y el cuidado comunitario.

El programa ECOS, Música para la Paz, tiene como objetivo incrementar las oportunidades de niñas, niños y adolescentes en colonias vulnerables para el ejercicio de sus derechos culturales. Entre los compromisos establecidos mediante el convenio, el Gobierno del Estado de Jalisco se compromete a la dotación gratuita de instrumentos musicales, al pago de honorarios del personal docente y administrativo, y al acompañamiento académico de la metodología del programa ECOS.
El Gobierno Municipal brindará el uso gratuito del espacio físico para el alumnado, dotará de insumos sanitarios y de papelería para la atención del alumnado y del personal docente y administrativo, además se encargará del mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo de los instrumentos que se otorguen en comodato.

El programa ECOS cuenta con presencia en 50 núcleos en 43 municipios de Jalisco. Atiende actualmente a 2 mil 76 niñas, niños y adolescentes. Consolida Jalisco uno de los programas de formación musical gratuita más grandes del país, con una inversión anual para este año de 26 millones 512 mil 663 pesos.

To strengthen access to culture, education, and music as tools for social transformation in vulnerable neighborhoods, the agreement with the ECOS Program, Music for Peace, signed between the Government of Jalisco, through the Ministry of Culture, and the Government of Guadalajara, was renewed.

The renewal took place on the second anniversary of Colmena Balcones del Cuatro, to reaffirm the Colmena’s commitment as a living space that promotes identity, unity, and community care.

The ECOS Program, Music for Peace, aims to increase opportunities for children and adolescents in vulnerable neighborhoods to exercise their cultural rights. Among the commitments established through the agreement, the Government of the State of Jalisco commits to providing free musical instruments, paying the fees of teaching and administrative staff, and providing academic support for the ECOS program methodology. The Municipal Government will provide free use of the physical space for students, provide sanitary supplies and stationery for students, faculty, and staff, and will also be responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of instruments granted on loan.

The ECOS program is present in 50 centers in 43 municipalities of Jalisco. It currently serves 2,076 girls, boys, and adolescents. En el marco de la 3a edición de Stage México Audiovisual que se realiza como parte de Iberserias & Platino Industria 2025, el mayor evento internacional audiovisual con sede en Madrid, España, el cineasta mexicano radicado en Madrid, Manolo Caro apadrinó el corte de listón inaugural del stand de #STGMXAV25.

As part of the 3rd edition of Stage México Audiovisual, held as part of Iberseries & Platino Industria 2025, the largest international audiovisual event based in Madrid, Spain, Madrid-based Mexican filmmaker Manolo Caro sponsored the inaugural ribbon-cutting of the #STGMXAV25 booth.

“Whenever there’s an opportunity to support and promote Mexico, I’m happy to do so because it’s the best country in the world, and because cinema travels and stories transcend. I support this initiative by Stage México Audiovisual. I hope our stories find their audience and that Mexico’s co-production with the rest of the world grows.” The filmmaker’s presence sparked great interest at the Mexican stand on the first day of Iberseries Platino Industria activities. The ceremony was also attended by producer Gonzalo Elvira, Guillermo Saldaña, Arturo González Alonso, CEO of #STGMXAV25, Javier Espinoza of the BC Film Commission, and Rose Peral of IBERSERIES.

Zapotlán El Grande fue sede de la edición XVIII del Coloquio Arreolino organizado por la Secretaría de Cultura de Jalisco del 24 al 28 de septiembre con el propósito de preservar el legado de Juan José Arreola a 107 años de su nacimiento.

En este marco se realizó el ya clásico Torneo de Ajedrez, y el Taller a dos manos: Poesía y creatividad impartido por Raúl Bañuelos y Laura Solórzano. Entre los protagonistas de las conferencias y mesas redondas realizadas como parte de este encuentro literario destacó también la presencia de Fortunato Ruiz Verdugo, Martín Adalberto Sánchez Huerta, Azucena Rodríguez, Paulina Velázquez, Ricardo Sigala, Edgardo Aguilar, Isis Bravo.

Zapotlán El Grande hosted the 18th edition of the Arreola Colloquium, organized by the Jalisco Ministry of Culture from September 24 to 28, with the aim of preserving the legacy of Juan José Arreola 107 years after his birth.

This event included the now-classic Chess Tournament and the Two-Handed Workshop: Poetry and Creativity, taught by Raúl Bañuelos and Laura Solórzano. Among the keynote speakers at the conferences and roundtables held as part of this literary gathering were Fortunato Ruiz Verdugo, Martín Adalberto Sánches Huerta, Azucena Rodríguez, Paulina Velázquez, Ricardo Sigala, Edgardo Aguilar, and Isis Bravo.

La edición 28 de la Muestra Estatal de Teatro (MET) de Jalisco en la que el público pudo apreciar 16 obras de teatro en diversas sedes del Área Conurbada de Guadalajara tanto públicas como privadas, logró congregar a un público de poco más de 6 mil asistentes.
Dentro de este marco se realizarón también talleres de formación gratuita impartidos por especialistas como Sayuri Navarro, Ilona Goyeneche, Karlek Ramos, Sara Flores Daniel y la compañía AjíMaíz, con temáticas que abarcaron crítica teatral, dramaturgia, fiscalidad cultural y animación con objetos y títeres.
Entre los momentos memorables de la MET estuvo el homenaje a Olga Valencia y Javier Serrano, figuras clave de la escena jalisciense, realizado en el Teatro Alarife Martín Casillas tras la función de Cantares.

The 28th edition of the Jalisco State Theater Showcase (MET), in which the public was able to appreciate 16 plays at various public and private venues in the Greater Guadalajara Area, drew an audience of just over 6,000 attendees.
Within this framework, free training workshops were also held by specialists such as Sayuri Navarro, Ilona Goyeneche, Karlek Ramos, Sara Flores Daniel, and the AjíMaíz company, with topics covering theater criticism, playwriting, cultural taxation, and animation with objects and puppets.
Among the memorable moments of the MET was the tribute to Olga Valencia and Javier Serrano, key figures of the Jalisco theater scene, held at the Alarife Martín Casillas Theater after the performance of Cantares.
