La edición 22 del Festival Cultural Otoño en Lagos se puede disfrutar del 29 de septiembre al 1 de octubre en diversas sedes de dicha ciudad y con un programa que incluye actividades artisticas, culturales, deportivas y académicas coordinadas bajo el lema Bordando caminos de paz, coordinadas por el Centro Universitario de los Lagos (CULagos) de la Universidad de Guadalajara (UdeG).

 Gloria Angélica Hernández Obledo, rectora de dicho plantel expresó que el invitado de este año es Francia, realizarán una Feria Intercultural, acciones para conmemorar el Día Mundial de la Salud Mental, el Linguafest, proyecciones de cine, teatro, un espectáculo multidisciplinario, torneo de volibor, carrera y  en esta nueva edición van presentar un análisis prospectivo al año 2050 del proyecto Jalisco a futuro, con la participación de empresarios, autoridades locales y líderes sociales. The 22nd edition of the Lagos Autumn Cultural Festival can be enjoyed from September 29th to October 1st at various venues in the city. The program includes artistic, cultural, sports, and academic activities coordinated under the theme «Embroidering Paths of Peace,» coordinated by the Centro Universitario de los Lagos (CULagos) of the University of Guadalajara (UdeG).

Gloria Angélica Hernández Obledo, rector of the school, stated that this year’s guest is France. They will hold an Intercultural Fair, activities to commemorate World Mental Health Day, Linguafest, film screenings, theater, a multidisciplinary performance, a volleyball tournament, a race, and in this new edition, they will present a prospective analysis of Jalisco’s future project to the year 2050, with the participation of businesspeople, local authorities, and community leaders. El comediante indio Robo Shankar falleció el jueves (18 de septiembre), días después de ser ingresado en la unidad de cuidados intensivos. Tenía 46 años.

Según medios de comunicación indios, el comediante, quien apareció en numerosas películas y programas de variedades tamiles populares, fue hospitalizado en estado crítico el 16 de septiembre.

Un comunicado del hospital agregó que Robo Shankar sufrió una hemorragia gastrointestinal masiva y disfunción multiorgánica secundaria a una afección abdominal compleja, y que su condición se deterioró rápidamente antes de fallecer el jueves por la noche.

Según informes, el comediante había sido diagnosticado recientemente con ictericia y se estaba recuperando. Muchos contemporáneos de Robo Shankar le han rendido homenaje, incluyendo al actor y cineasta Kamal Haasan y a la actriz Radikaa Sarathkumar.

The Indian comedian Robo Shankar died on Thursday (September 18), days after being admitted to the intensive care unit. He was 46.

According to Indian media, the comedian, who appeared in numerous popular Tamil films and variety shows, was hospitalized in critical condition on September 16.

A hospital statement added that Robo Shankar suffered massive gastrointestinal bleeding and multi-organ dysfunction secondary to a complex abdominal condition, and that his condition deteriorated rapidly before he passed away Thursday night.

The comedian had reportedly recently been diagnosed with jaundice and was recovering. Many of Robo Shankar’s contemporaries have paid tribute to him, including actor and filmmaker Kamal Haasan and actress Radikaa Sarathkumar.

La compañía multidisciplinaria que dirigen Jorge Taddeo y Lucy Arce presentan su gala de aniversario el 20 de septiembre a las 19:00 horas en el Teatro Degollado una serie de fragmentos de montajes que han concretado en todo este tiempo como algunas escens de La ópera de los tres centavos, Amadeus y Peer Gynt, además de coreografías y canciones populares latinoamericanas.

Los arreglos musicales son de Abraham Calva y se contará con la participación de los artistas Karina Hurtado, María Belén, Eduardo Villalpando, Daríao Rocas, Marita Zimmer, Adrián Rojero, Samantha Robles, Jesús Hernández y el Ballet de Cámara de Jalisco.   

The multidisciplinary company directed by Jorge Taddeo and Lucy Arce will present its anniversary gala on September 20th at 7:00 PM at the Degollado Theater. This will feature excerpts from productions they have created over the years, including scenes from The Threepenny Opera, Amadeus, and Peer Gynt, as well as choreography and popular Latin American songs.
The musical arrangements are by Abraham Calva and will feature artists Karina Hurtado, María Belén, Eduardo Villalpando, Daríao Rocas, Marita Zimmer, Adrián Rojero, Samantha Robles, Jesús Hernández, and the Jalisco Chamber Ballet.

La Edición 36 de la Feria del Libro de Antropología e Historia (FILAH) que contará con más de  400 actividades académicas,  culturales y artísticas, se realiza del 18 al 28 de septiembre en el Museo Nacional de Antropología e Historia, según informó  Joel Vázquez Herrera, titular del Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH). 

Este año el invitado de honor es Costa de Marfil. Como parte de la inauguración se entregó el XXVII Premio Antonio García Cubasy se anunció que España será el país invitado de la edición 37 del Filah, mientras que Veracruz, el estado de honor.

The 36th edition of the Anthropology and History Book Fair (FILAH), which will feature more than 400 academic, cultural, and artistic activities, will take place from September 18 to 28 at the National Museum of Anthropology and History, according to Joel Vázquez Herrera, head of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH).

This year, the guest of honor is the Ivory Coast. As part of the opening ceremony, the 27th Antonio García Cubas Award was presented, and it was announced that Spain will be the guest country for the 37th edition of the FILAH, while Veracruz will be the state of honor.

La décima edición de LéaLA, Feria del Libro en Español y Festival Literario, organizada por la Fundación Universidad de Guadalajara USA, se realiza del 25 al 28 de septiembre en la Plaza de Cultura y Artes de Los Ángeles, California.

Marisol Schulz Manault, directora general de LéaLA, ha compartido a medios que aunque son 10 ediciones la Feria se ha mantenido durante 14 años ya que la primera edición fue en 2011 y en ocasiones por circunstancias ajenas el encuentro no se ha podido realizar con la periodicidad anual.

The 10th edition of LéaLA, the Spanish Book Fair and Literary Festival, organized by the University of Guadalajara Foundation, USA, takes place from September 25 to 28 at the Plaza de Cultura y Artes in Los Angeles, California.

Marisol Schulz Manaut, general director of LéaLA, shared with the media that although there have been 10 editions, the Fair has been held for 14 years. The first edition was in 2011, and due to circumstances beyond its control, the event has not been able to be held annually.
