Chappell Roan ha sido anunciada como la artista estrella del Festival Laneway 2026. Será la primera visita de la superestrella del synth-pop a Nueva Zelanda, y los promotores prometen un espectáculo de 90 minutos.

El cartel también incluye el regreso de Wolf Alice a Laneway, así como las actuaciones de Role Model, PinkPantheress y los raperos suecos Yung Lean & Bladee.

El evento se celebrará en Western Springs, Auckland, el jueves 5 de febrero, restringido a mayores de 18 años por segundo año consecutivo.

Chappell Roan has been announced as the headliner for Laneway Festival 2026. It will be the synth-pop superstar’s first visit to New Zealand, and promoters promise a 90-minute show.

The lineup also includes Wolf Alice’s return to Laneway, as well as performances by Role Model, Pink Panthers, and Swedish rappers Yung Lean & Bladee.

The event will be held in Western Springs, Auckland, on Thursday, February 5, and is restricted to those over 18 for the second consecutive year.

Laneway has historically been held over a long weekend in Auckland. Next year’s Tāmaki Makaurau show is scheduled for the day before Waitangi Day. After the Auckland event, the festival will head to the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth.

Despite the restrictions, the February 2025 festival was attended by 30,000 people who were overjoyed by British pop sensation Charli XCX. Other stages were filled with 18 artists, including Clairo, Beabadoobee, Barry Can’t Swim, Bicep, and Remi Wolf.

After a brief temporary closure, the Cineforo of the University of Guadalajara (UdeG) announced that it will resume operations next Saturday, September 20, after carrying out preventive maintenance work that includes electrical repairs and fumigation of its facilities, as announced in a statement.

Todos los integrantes de este mivimiento se refieren a los hechos ocurridos en la franja de Gaza como “genocidio” y han retirado o bloqueado su música en plataformas digitales dentro de Israel. Algunos como Massive Attack han ido más allá incluso, ya que la banda también rompió con Spotify debido a que Daniel Ek, CEO de dicha plataforma invirtió en Helsing, la empresa de inteligencia artificial militar utilizada por Israel..

Massive Attack and Rina Sawayama are part of a community of 400 bands and solo artists who have joined the «No Music for Genocide» boycott, which consists of removing their music from Israel and from labels or businesses linked to that country in protest of the violence in the Gaza Strip.

International record labels are also on the list. All members of this movement refer to the events in the Gaza Strip as «genocide» and have removed or blocked their music from digital platforms within Israel. Some, like Massive Attack, have gone even further, as the band also broke with Spotify due to the investment made by Daniel Ek, CEO of the platform, in Helsing, the military artificial intelligence company used by Israel.
