El artista británico Morrissey canceló dos conciertos que se celebrarían en Massachusetts y Connecticut, Estados Unidos, luego de haber recibido amenazas antes de ofrecer un show en Ottawa Canadá.

El concierto del exvocalista de The Smiths, se celebró el 12 de septiembre después de que las autoridades canadienses detuvieran a un hombre de 26 años, quien amenazó a Morrissey de muerte. El detenido quedó en libertad bajo fianza. Massimo Ranieri, nacido en Nápoles el 3 de mayo de 1951, falleció a los 75 años y con ello termina una carrera llena de éxitos que lo consagraron como uno de los cantautores italianos más importantes del siglo XX.

Entre los diversos temas que interpretó está L’amore é un attimo que en México se tradujo como Perdón cariño mío y lo interpretó Estela Núñez.

Su última participación en Sanremo, fue en 2022 con el tema Lettera di lá dal mare con el cual obtuvo el Premio della Crítica Mia Martini y en 2025 volvió a los escenarios con el tema Tra le mani un cuore, escrito por Tiziano Ferro y Nek. A lo largo de su trayectoria hizo también hizo cine y televisión.

Como parte de las actividades realizadas para celebrar la realización de la Ceremonia 67 de Entrega de Premios Ariel por parte de la Academia Mexicana de Ciencias Cinematográficas (AMACC) en Puerto Vallarta, autoridades municipales, del gobiernto del Estado de Jalisco y colectivos artísticos inauguraron en el Centro Histórico un mural urbano inspirado en la película La noche de la Iguana (1964) filmada en dicho municipio.

La realización de esta película de John Huston, basada en la obra de teatro homónima de Tennessee Williams y protagonizada por Ava Gardner, Deborah Kerr, Richard Burton, Sue Lyon, Grayson Hall y Cyrill Delevanti, ocasionó una gran promoción de Puerto Vallarta a escala internacional, debido a que varias de estas celebridades no sólo rodaron en este municipio, también se quedaron a vivir o convirtieron a Puerto Vallarta en un su lugar de retiro frecuente, al igual que otras grandes artistas de la época como Elizabeth Taylor.

El mural lo realizó el colectivo ROMPE y durante su inauguración estuvieron Michelle Fridman secretaria de Turismo de Jalisco, Sharo García del colectivo al igual que actores y asistentes a la ceremonia de los Premios Ariel.

Otra de las actividades previas a dicha ceremonia fue la Master Class titulada “Matar o morir” en la que el actor Joaquín Cosío habló de su oficio con jóvenes del Centro Universitario de la Costa (CUCosta).
