El reconocido cantante e ícono cultural asamés Zubeen Garg falleció trágicamente este 19 de septiembre en Singapur tras sufrir un accidente cerebrovascular mientras nadaba en la Isla Lazarus. Su esposa, Garima Sikia Garg, confirmó el incidente.

Conocido por su poderosa voz y su defensa de la identidad asamés, Zubeen se encontraba en Singapur para actuar en el 4.º Festival del Norte de India en Suntec, donde tenía previsto actuar el 20 de septiembre. Había llegado allí el 17 de septiembre como promotor de una marca cultural para el evento.

Sufrió convulsiones luego de nadar.  Permaneció en la UCI del Hospital General de Singapur en donde falleció.

Renowned Assamese singer and cultural icon Zubeen Garg tragically passed away on September 19 in Singapore after suffering a stroke while swimming at Lazarus Island. His wife, Garima Sikia Garg, confirmed the incident.
Known for his powerful voice and his advocacy for Assamese identity, Zubeen was in Singapore to perform at the 4th North India Festival at Suntec, where he was scheduled to perform on September 20. He had arrived there on September 17 as a cultural brand promoter for the event.

He suffered seizures after swimming. He remained in the ICU of Singapore General Hospital, where he died.

Tras el inesperado fallecimiento del veterano presentador de WDR, Marcus Werner, sus colegas recuerdan al estimado periodista en línea. La imagen de «Lokalzeit OWL» falleció el 13 de septiembre de 2025, a la edad de tan solo 51 años tras una grave enfermedad.

«Para muchos de sus colegas, Marcus fue un compañero y amigo maravilloso. Su voz, su energía, sus ideas… ahora se echan de menos», declaró Gabi Ludwig, editora jefe de los programas regionales de WDR.

Following the unexpected passing of veteran WDR presenter Marcus Werner, his colleagues are remembering the esteemed online journalist. The figure of «Lokalzeit OWL» passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of just 51 after a serious illness.

«For many of his colleagues, Marcus was a wonderful colleague and friend. His voice, his energy, his ideas… are now missed,» said Gabi Ludwig, editor-in-chief of WDR’s regional programs.

Julieta Norma Fierro Gossman falleció este 19 de septiembre a los 77 años de edad.

Autora de diversos libros sobre Astrofísica, era egresada de Física en la Facultad de Ciencias de la UNAM y de maestría en Astrofísica en la misma institución.

Fue investigadora titular en el Instituto de Astronomía de la UNAM, profesora en la Facultad de Ciencias, miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores en el nivel más alto y, desde 2004, miembro de número de la Academia Mexicana de la Lengua.

Fue distinguida con varios doctorados honoris causa y los premios Kalinga de la UNESCO y el Klumpke- Roberts de la Sociedad Astronómica del Pacífico.

Julieta Norma Fierro Grossman passed away on September 19th at the age of 77.

The author of several books on astrophysics, she graduated in Physics from the Faculty of Sciences at UNAM and earned a Master’s degree in Astrophysics from the same institution.

She was a senior researcher at the Institute of Astronomy at UNAM, a professor at the Faculty of Sciences, a member of the National System of Researchers at the highest level, and, since 2004, a full member of the Mexican Academy of Language.

She was awarded several honorary doctorates and the Kalinga Prize from UNESCO and the Klumpke-Roberts Prize from the Astronomical Society of the Pacific.

La mañana del viernes 12 de septiembre la actriz Isabelle Nanty sufrió un accidente de tráfico en la autopista A10, cerca del peaje de Saint-Arnoult en Yvelines, mientras regresaba de un rodaje en Cantal. La actriz de 63 años sufrió una lesión en el cuello y tres costillas rotas y se encuentra en recuperación, su estado no es grave.

Según Le Parisien, no volverá al set de rodaje durante varias semanas. La secuela de la serie Marie-Line, se está rodando actualmente sin la actriz de Les Tuche. El rodaje comenzó inicialmente el 24 de junio, antes de ser interrumpido el 7 de agosto. Se reanudó el 24 y estaba previsto que finalizara el 5 de octubre. A Isabelle Nanty solo le quedaban unas pocas escenas por rodar. El drama está programado para emitirse en 2026.

On the morning of Friday, September 12, actress Isabelle Nanty was involved in a traffic accident on the A10 motorway near the Saint-Arnoult toll booth in Yvelines, while returning from filming in Cantal. The 63-year-old actress suffered a neck injury and three broken ribs and is recovering; her condition is not serious.

According to Le Parisien, she will not return to the set for several weeks. The sequel to the series Marie-Line is currently being filmed without the Les Tuche actress. Filming initially began on June 24, before being halted on August 7. It resumed on the 24th and was scheduled to end on October 5. Isabelle Nanty only had a few scenes left to shoot. The drama is scheduled to air in 2026

El Centro Universitario de la Costa (CUCosta) de la Universidad de Guadalajara (UdeG) y organizaciones ciudadanas realizan dell 19 al 21 de septiembre se realizarán actividades de ciencia ciudadana en diversas colonias de Puerto Vallarta.

El resultado de hacer estas prácticas año con año han sido que avistamiento de más de 400 especies de aves y reptiles en diversos puntos del Río Pitillal, la posibilidad de archivar el paisaje y estos avistamientos con fotografías, además que relizan monitoreo de calidad del agua y exploraciones nocturnas con anficios.

The University Center of the Coast (CUCosta) of the University of Guadalajara (UdeG) and community organizations will conduct citizen science activities in various neighborhoods of Puerto Vallarta from September 19 to 21.

The results of these activities year after year have been the sighting of more than 400 species of birds and reptiles at various points along the Pitillal River, the ability to archive the landscape and photograph these sightings, and the ability to conduct water quality monitoring and nighttime explorations with amphibians.
