Inauguraron la XX Bienal Tamayo que organiza el Museo homónimo, celebra la innovación y la expeirmentación pictórica contemporána con 40 obras seleccionadas para la edición XX de su Bienal, según anunció Alejandra de la Paz Nájera directora general del INBA.
Las obras ya pueden admirarse hasta el 7 de diciembre. Los ganadores que se dieron a conocer desde agosto pasado fueron José Gonzzalo García Muñoz, Javier Peláez Goméz y Othiana Roffiel Sánchez. Quienes recibieron menciones honoríficas fueron Laura mezas Orozco, Octavio Moctezuma, Francisco Muños pérez, Urmeer y Daniela Rmírez González.

El jurado estuvo integrado por los curadores Víctor palacios, Tobías Ostrander y Paulina Ascencio, y los artistas Lucía Vidales, y Berta Koteniuk. Mayor información: https://www.museotamayo.org/

The 20th Tamayo Biennial, organized by the museum of the same name, opened its doors, celebrating innovation and contemporary pictorial experimentation with 40 works selected for this 20th edition, as announced by Alejandra de la Paz Nájera, Director General of the INBA (National Institute of Fine Arts).

The works can be admired until December 7. The winners, announced last August, were José Gonzalo García Muñoz, Javier Peláez Gómez, and Othiana Roffiel Sánchez. Those who received honorable mentions were Laura Mezas Orozco, Octavio Moctezuma, Francisco Muñoz Pérez, Urmeer, and Daniela Ramírez González.

The audience will be able to enjoy songs such as “Patience,” “Estranged,” “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” “Paradise City,” among others.

‘Die My Love’, dirigida por lynee Ramsay adaptación de la novela ‘Matate, amor’ (Ed. Anagrama) de la argentina Ariana Harwiczque habla de una madre primeriza a la que la llegada del bebé sume en un estado de alteración que roza la psicosis, puede verse en México desde el 6 de noviembre.
La película se estrenó en la Competencia Oficial del Festival de Cannes en mayo de 2025 donde generó una subasta feroz por derechos de distribución, ganada por MUBI. Estará disponible en salas selectas de cadenas como Cinemex y Cinépolis, antes de llegar a plataformas a principios de 2026.

Die My Love’, directed by Lynee Ramsay and adapted from the novel ‘Matate, amor’ (Anagrama) by Argentinian author Ariana Harwicz, tells the story of a first-time mother whose baby’s arrival plunges her into a state of distress bordering on psychosis. It can be seen in Mexico starting November 6th.

The film premiered in the Official Competition of the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025, where it generated a fierce bidding war for distribution rights, ultimately won by MUBI. It will be available in select theaters of chains like Cinemex and Cinépolis before arriving on streaming platforms in early 2026.

Laurent Mauvignier ganó el Goncourt con su obra La casa vacía (La maison vide), en donde narra cómo un hombre se reencuentra en una vieja casa familiar con sus antepasados.

Se trata de uno de los galardones más prestigioso en lengua francesa, su décima novela fue editada por Minuit y se compone de poco más de 700 páginas, también le ha valido el premio del diario le Monde y el Premio de los libreros de Nancy-Le Point. El Premio fundado en 1903 por Edmond de Goncourt otorga una dotación económica simbólica de 10 euros.

Laurent Mauvignier won the Goncourt Prize with his novel The Empty House (La maison vide), which tells the story of a man who reconnects with his ancestors in an old family home.

This is one of the most prestigious awards in the French language. His tenth novel, published by Minuit, is just over 700 pages long and has also earned him the Le Monde Prize and the Nancy-Le Point Booksellers’ Prize. The prize, founded in 1903 by Edmond de Goncourt, includes a symbolic cash award of 10 euros.

Giorgio Forattini, murió en Milán a la edad de 94 años.

Nacido en Roma en 1931, considerado el padre de la caricatura satírica italiana, políticos y creadores han reconocido que Forattini fue capaz de inventar estereotipos eficaces y provocadores, un refinado intérprete de la dinámica política

Giorgio Forattini died in Milan at the age of 94 years.

Born in Rome in 1931, considered the father of Italian satirical cartooning, Forattini was recognized by politicians and artists alike as a master of creating effective and provocative stereotypes. A refined interpreter of the political dynamics
from the First to the Second Republic, he possessed supreme intellectual skill, a fact evident in the more than one thousand cartoons he published in La Repubblica, L’Espresso, La Stampa, Il Giornale, Panorama, and Paese Sera.

Nawat Itsaragrisil, el director de Miss Universe Tailandia, ha sido removido de sus funciones y sancionado por la organización Miss Universo tras un altercado público con la representante de México, Fátima Bosch.
La decisión fue anunciada por el copropietario y presidente de Miss Universo, Raúl Rocha Cantú, quien ordenó acciones inmediatas después del incidente.

Durante un evento oficial en Bangkok previo al certamen de Miss Universo 2025, Nawat Itsaragrisil increpó e insultó públicamente a Fátima Bosch, refiriéndose a ella como «tonta». Itsaragrisil acusó a la Miss México de no publicar suficiente contenido promocional sobre Tailandia en sus redes sociales.La modelo mexicana se defendió y, en un acto de dignidad, decidió retirarse del evento, declarando que «ninguna mujer, en ningún escenario, merece ser insultada». Varias otras concursantes mostraron su apoyo a Bosch y también abandonaron el lugar.

Nawat Itsaragrisil, the director of Miss Universe Thailand, has been removed from his position and sanctioned by the Miss Universe organization following a public altercation with Mexico’s representative, Fatima Bosch. The decision was announced by Miss Universe co-owner and president Raúl Rocha Cantú, who ordered immediate action after the incident.

During an official event in Bangkok prior to the Miss Universe 2025 pageant, Nawat Itsaragrisil publicly berated and insulted Fatima Bosch, referring to her as «stupid.» Itsaragrisil accused Miss Mexico of not posting enough promotional content about Thailand on her social media. The Mexican model defended herself and, in an act of dignity, decided to leave the event, declaring that «no woman, in any setting, deserves to be insulted.» Several other contestants showed their support for Bosch and also left the venue.
