Here are the details of this crossover that no one saw coming: He will have a voice cameo in the upcoming film The Mandalorian & Grogu, directed by Jon Favreau, which premieres on May 22, 2026. He lends his voice to an Ardennian shopkeeper (an alien species with four arms). In the trailer, he is heard negotiating information with Din Djarin, but quickly closes his stall when the Hutts are mentioned. The announcement caused a stir due to Scorsese’s famous past criticisms of franchise films (especially Marvel), which he compared to «theme parks.»

The second season of the series Más Vale Sola, starring Chaparro Chuacheneger, María Elena Saldaña «La Güereja,» and Cecilia Galliano, premieres this February 22nd on Las Estrellas and the ViX platform.

The series, produced by Reynaldo López, takes a new turn and coincides with Chaparro’s addition to the cast of the new season of La CQ, where he plays the father of one of the iconic characters.

El pasado 18 de febrero de 2026 se llevó a cabo una maratón digital global de 24 horas para conmemorar el décimo aniversario del fallecimiento de Umberto Eco.
Debido a la diferencia horaria, la transmisión comenzó simbólicamente en las Islas Fiyi (donde primero llega el nuevo día) y recorrió el mundo siguiendo el huso horario hasta concluir de nuevo en Italia.
Organizado por la Fundación Umberto Eco y la Universidad de Bolonia, el maratón incluyó lecturas, testimonios de figuras como Roberto Saviano, e incluso una simulación de Eco mediante inteligencia artificial.
Se celebró este año porque el propio autor había pedido en su testamento que no se organizaran congresos o celebraciones públicas sobre su figura hasta que hubieran pasado 10 años de su muerte (ocurrida el 19 de febrero de 2016).

On February 18, 2016, a 24-hour global digital marathon was held to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Umberto Eco’s death. Due to time zone differences, the broadcast symbolically began in Fiji (where the new day arrives first) and traveled the world following time zones until concluding back in Italy.

Organized by the Umberto Eco Foundation and the University of Bologna, the marathon included readings, testimonials from figures such as Roberto Saviano, and even an AI simulation of Eco.
It was held this year because the author himself had requested in his will that no conferences or public celebrations be organized in his honor until ten years had passed since his death (which occurred on February 19, 2016).

Bad Bunny y Javier Bardem protagonizarán «Porto Rico», el ambicioso debut como director de largometrajes de René Pérez Joglar, mejor conocido como Residente.
El rapero ha descrito la película como un «western caribeño» y drama histórico inspirado en hechos reales. La trama se centra en la vida de José Maldonado Román, alias «Águila Blanca», un revolucionario que luchó contra el colonialismo en Puerto Rico a finales del siglo XIX.
Además de Bad Bunny (en su primer papel protagónico) y Javier Bardem, la película contará con la participación de Viggo Mortensen y Edward Norton.
El proyecto cuenta con el respaldo de Alejandro González Iñárritu como productor ejecutivo y es una producción de Live Nation Studios.
El guion fue escrito por el propio Residente junto al guionista Alexander Dinelaris, ganador del Oscar por Birdman.

Bad Bunny and Javier Bardem will star in «Porto Rico,» the ambitious feature film directorial debut of René Pérez Joglar, better known as Residente.

The rapper has described the film as a «Caribbean western» and historical drama inspired by true events. The plot centers on the life of José Maldonado Román, alias «Águila Blanca» (White Eagle), a revolutionary who fought against colonialism in Puerto Rico at the end of the 19th century.

In addition to Bad Bunny (in his first leading role) and Javier Bardem, the film will feature Viggo Mortensen and Edward Norton.

The project has the backing of Alejandro González Iñárritu as executive producer and is a Live Nation Studios production.

The screenplay was written by Residente himself along with screenwriter Alexander Dinelaris, who won an Oscar for Birdman. Details regarding its release date and distribution platforms are yet to be confirmed.
