Jalisco, Puebla y Yucatán son este año parte de la Guía Michelin. Ante la noticia, Michelle Fridman Secretaria de Turismo de Jalisco dijo que es una gran oportunidad para mostrar al mndo la verdadera identidad de Jalisco que está ligada a su gastronomía con el tequila la birra y las tortas ahogadas como sus platillos y bebidas más icónicas.
La Guía Michelin es la referencia mundial de la gastronomía más prestigiosa que califica restaurantes mediante un sistema anónimo de estrellas y que fue creada en el año 1900 por los hermanos Michelin. La funcionaria compartió que los inspectores ya visitaron Jalisco y el anuncio de las estrellas se realizará en el mes de mayo antes del Mundial.
Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, Secretaria de Turismo de México, ratificó que Jalisco es un referente turístico y dijo sentirse satisfecha de que se hayan escogido para esta guía las entidades ya mencionadas.

Jalisco, Puebla, and Yucatán are included in this year’s Michelin Guide. Upon hearing the news, Michelle Fridman, Secretary of Tourism for Jalisco, said it is a great opportunity to showcase Jalisco’s true identity to the world, an identity deeply intertwined with its gastronomy, featuring tequila, beer, and tortas ahogadas as its most iconic dishes and drinks.

The Michelin Guide is the world’s most prestigious reference for gastronomy, rating restaurants using an anonymous star system. It was created in 1900 by the Michelin brothers. Fridman shared that inspectors have already visited Jalisco, and the star awards will be announced in May, prior to the World Cup.

Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism, confirmed that Jalisco is a leading tourist destination and expressed her satisfaction that the aforementioned states were selected for this year’s guide.

La Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco bajo la dirección de José Luis Castillo interpreta este jueves 12 y el 15 de marzo, la Sinfonía No. 2 de William Boyce, la Serenata para tenor, como y cuerdas de Benjamin Britten en el 50 aniversario luctuoso y la Sinfonía No. 1 Edward Elgar con la participación del tenor César Delgado y el cornista Daniel Graterol en calidad de solistas de la noche.
Se trata de un programa que incluye del barroco tardío inglés de William Boyce, al romanticismo sinfónico de Elgar y la música inglesa del siglo XX de Britten.

The Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of José Luis Castillo, will perform William Boyce’s Symphony No. 2, Benjamin Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Piano, and Strings, and Edward Elgar’s Symphony No. 1 on Thursday, March 12, and again on March 15. The program will feature tenor César Delgado and horn player Daniel Graterol as soloists.

The program spans the late English Baroque period, from William Boyce to Elgar’s symphonic Romanticism and Britten’s 20th-century English music.

El escritor peruano Alfredo Bryce Echenique (1939-2026) considerado como uno de los últimos represntantes del boom latinoamericano falleció el 10 de marzo a los 87 años, según lo anunció la Casa de la Literatura Peruana en la red social X.
Diversos críticos literarios lo han colocado al lado de Mario Vargas Llosa y Julio Ramón Ribeyro. En 2012 el autor de Un mundo para julius, fue ganador del Premio FIL de Literatura en Lenguas Romances que otorga la Universidad de Guadalajara y una mención enel Premio Casa de las Américas en 1968.

The Peruvian writer Alfredo Bryce Echenique (1939-2026), considered one of the last representatives of the Latin American Boom, died on March 10 at the age of 87, as announced by the House of Peruvian Literature on the social network X. Several literary critics have placed him alongside Mario Vargas Llosa and Julio Ramón Ribeyro. El Premio FIL de Literatura en Lenguas Romances abrió este 10 de marzo su convocatoria y recibirá postulaciones hasta el viernes 3 de julio.
El premio tiene el propósito de reconocer la trayectoria de una escritora o un escritor con una valiosa obra de creación en cualquier género literario —poesía, novela, teatro, cuento o ensayo—, cuyo medio de expresión sea español, catalán, gallego, francés, italiano, rumano o portugués.
Dotado de 150 mil dólares estadounidenses, hoy inició la recepción de postulaciones para el máximo galardón de la Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara, que reconoce la trayectoria de escritores con una valiosa obra de creación en cualquier género literario. Las postulaciones al Premio FIL de Literatura pueden ser hechas por instituciones, agrupaciones y asociaciones culturales o educativas, así como por grupos de personas interesadas en la literatura. Los integrantes del jurado también podrán proponer candidatos conforme a los procedimientos y los tiempos establecidos en la convocatoria. Las candidaturas deberán ser presentadas por medio del formato de postulación disponible en la página web de la FIL Guadalajara http://www.fil.com.mx. Esta será la única vía de postulación, y sólo se considerarán válidos los registros que cumplan con todos los requisitos de la convocatoria.

Podrán aspirar al Premio autores de obras literarias de cualquier género, sin distinción de nacionalidad o sexo, cuya producción literaria esté compuesta por obras originales y de su autoría primigenia, que gocen del reconocimiento de la crítica internacional. El jurado del Premio, que tendrá la tarea de juzgar la contribución del conjunto de la obra de los candidatos, estará integrado por siete destacados escritores o críticos literarios, cuyo fallo será inapelable. La convocatoria cerrará el 3 de julio y el ganador se dará a conocer el 31 de agosto de 2026, mediante una conferencia de prensa en Guadalajara.

Las instituciones que conforman la Asociación Civil Premio FIL de Literatura en Lenguas Romances y que convocan a su edición 2026 son la Universidad de Guadalajara, los gobiernos del estado de Jalisco, de Guadalajara y de Zapopan, Bancomext, Arca Continental, Fundación Universidad de Guadalajara y Fibra Educa.

La 31 edición de Gala Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit, el evento que según sus organizadores es el encuentro de negocios turísticos más importante del Pacífico mexicano se realiza del 10 al 12 de marzo.

Tanto la funcionaria como Héctor Javier Santana alcalde de Bahía de Banderas mencionaron que la región está preparada para recibir turismo aún después de los eventos ocurridos el pasado 22 de febrero. Durante la inauguración estuvieron también José Antonio Ayala, presidente de la Asociación de Hoteles y Moteles de Bahía de Banderas, Luis Ernesto Munguía, presidente municipal de Puerto Vallarta, y el secretario de Turismo de Nayarit, Juan Enrique Suárez del Real.

El baterista francés Gautier Garrigue ganó el Premio Django Reinhardt 2025 por la Académie du Jazz, reconocido como el mejor músico francés de jazz del año.

Garrigue compitió con otros destacados finalistas, incluidos Ludivine Issambourg, Mathias Lévy y Marion Rampal.
