Apodado “Amígdalas Doradas”, el locutor John Laws (Wau, Papua Nueva Guinea 1935) falleció en Sydney a la edad de 90 años.
Law quien comenzó su carrera como locutor en 1953, pasó dos semanas en el hospital el mes pasado y luego fue atendido en su casa de Woolloomooloo, donde murió pacíficamente el sábado.
Además de la radio, Laws también fue conductor de televisión y escribió sus memorias y libros de cocina, puemarios, además de aparecer en pel´liculas como Ned Kelly (1970), L reina del niiquel (1971) de Claude Fitzherbert y el Pudín Mágico (2000) de Rumbus Bumpus.
Grabó álbumes y canciones durante la década de los 70 inclusó recibió en 1975 un Premio al mejor álbum de música country del año por su disco Déjalo roda (1975). También grabó diversos LP con charlas sobre La mente y la música y motivación a manera de podcast, recitó poemas con la orquesta de Herny Mancini de fondo en el álbum Just You and Me Together, love (RCA, 1977). Nicknamed “Golden Tonsils,” broadcaster John Laws (Wau, Papua New Guinea, 1935) passed away in Sydney at the age of 90.
Laws, who began his broadcasting career in 1953, spent two weeks in the hospital last month and was then cared for at his home in Woolloomooloo, where he died peacefully on Saturday.

In addition to radio, Laws was also a television presenter and wrote his memoirs, cookbooks, and poetry collections, as well as appearing in films such as Ned Kelly (1970), The Nickel Queen (1971) by Claude Fitzherbert, and Magic Pudding (2000) by Rumbus Bumpus.
