Wuaut+a, a Story to Tell, is the name of the book that will compile the history and stories of the Wixárika community of San Sebastián Teponahuaxtlán, as announced by Uriel Nuño Gutiérrez, Coordinator of Extension and Social Action at the University of Guadalajara. He explained that this publication aims to rescue, document, and make visible a unique and distinct perspective on the history of the inhabitants of these communities.

Misael Cruz de Haro, President of the Communal Lands of San Sebastián Teponahuaxtlán and its annex, Tuxpan de Bolaños, mentioned that this community has more than 70 years of history following the presidential recognition of the area; however, there is a lack of documents that recount its growth and development.

Hollywood has revealed this year’s Oscar nominations, which will recognize the best stars and films in the film industry over the past 12 months.
Sinners leads the list with a record 16 nominations, breaking the record previously held by All About Eve (1950), Titanic (1997), and La La Land (2016).
One Battle After Another follows with 13 nominations, while Marty Supreme, Frankenstein, and Sentimental Value have nine each, and Hamnet has eight.

El Consejo Municipal Contra las Adicciones de Tlaquepaque (COMUCAT), en coordinación con el Consejo Municipal del Deporte (COMUDE) Tlaquepaque, el Centro Integral de Intervención Social México Me Necesita y Mi Reinserción A.C. realizan del 21 al 23 de enero el Quinto Encuentro Cultural y Deportivo de Centros de Tratamiento.

El Encuentro Cultural y Deportivo de Centros de Tratamiento es una iniciativa comunitaria que surgió en 2019 en la Fundación México Me Necesita A.C. El programa contempla tres ejes principales de acción: deportivo, cultural, artístico y académico-terapéutico y el propósito de facilitar la participación de aproximadamente 500 usuarios de los centros de más de 50 centros de atención ubicados dentro del municipio de San Pedro Tlaquepaque. La justa cultural y deportiva cuenta con premiaciones, que incluyen trofeos y medallas.

En el eje deportivo se desarrollan disciplinas como fútbol, básquetbol, voleibol y waterpolo, entre otras. En el ámbito cultural y artístico se fomentan expresiones como canto, danza, teatro, ajedrez, graffiti y dibujo. Finalmente, el eje académico-terapéutico integra actividades de formación, reflexión y análisis con enfoque científico, orientadas a la comprensión integral del consumo de sustancias y los procesos de recuperación.

The Tlaquepaque Municipal Council Against Addictions (COMUCAT), in coordination with the Tlaquepaque Municipal Sports Council (COMUDE), the Comprehensive Social Intervention Center «Mexico Needs Me,» and «My Reintegration A.C.» are holding the Fifth Cultural and Sports Meeting of Treatment Centers from January 21 to 23.

The Cultural and Sports Meeting of Treatment Centers is a community initiative that began in 2019 at the «Mexico Needs Me» Foundation. The program includes three main areas of focus: sports, culture and arts, and academic-therapeutic activities. Its purpose is to facilitate the participation of approximately 500 users from more than 50 treatment centers located within the municipality of San Pedro Tlaquepaque. The cultural and sports event includes awards, such as trophies and medals.

The sports component includes disciplines such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, and water polo, among others. The cultural and artistic component fosters expressions such as singing, dance, theater, chess, graffiti, and drawing. Finally, the academic-therapeutic component integrates training, reflection, and analysis activities with a scientific approach, aimed at a comprehensive understanding of substance use and recovery processes.

El reciente descubrimiento de unas pinturas rupestres en la isla de Célebes (Sulawesi), Indonesia, ha dado un vuelco a lo que se creía saber sobre el el origen del pensamiento simbólico y la capacidad narrativa de los seres humanos. Se estima que estas pinturas tienen al menos 51 mil 200 años. Esto supera por mucho a las famosas cuevas de Lascaux o Altamira en Europa.
La escena muestra a tres figuras de aspecto humano (antropomorfos) interactuando con un cerdo verrugoso de Sulawesi.La técnica de datación utilizada es una técnica de vanguardia llamada ablación láser por serie de uranio, que permite analizar capas microscópicas de carbonato de calcio sobre la pintura con una precisión mucho mayor que los métodos anteriores. Antes de este hallazgo, la pintura más antigua en la misma zona era una escena de caza de hace unos 44.000 años. El hecho de que sigamos encontrando pinturas cada vez más viejas sugiere que la isla de Célebes podría esconder secretos aún más antiguos bajo las capas de sedimento.

The recent discovery of cave paintings on Sulawesi Island, Indonesia, has revolutionized our understanding of the origins of symbolic thought and human narrative ability. These paintings are estimated to be at least 51,200 years old, far surpassing the famous caves of Lascaux and Altamira in Europe.

The scene depicts three human-like figures (anthropomorphic) interacting with a Sulawesi warthog. The dating technique used is a cutting-edge method called uranium-serial laser ablation, which allows for the analysis of microscopic layers of calcium carbonate on the painting with much greater precision than previous methods. Before this discovery, the oldest known painting in the same area was a hunting scene dating back approximately 44,000 years. The fact that we keep finding increasingly older paintings suggests that the island of Sulawesi may be hiding even older secrets beneath layers of sediment.

He was a key figure in 20th-century literature, renowned for promoting the work of Elie Wiesel and Samuel Beckett in the United States. He founded his agency in 1967, and other giants he represented included Ian McEwan, Jane Fonda, Tracy Kidder, and General Charles de Gaulle.

He died peacefully in his sleep at home, as confirmed by his family to media outlets such as the Associated Press
