La edición 5 del Festival de la Francofonía y Primavera se realiza del 19 al 22 de marzo, con Vietnam como invitado de honor en el Club France de la Ciudad de México.

De acuerdo con Ana García coordinadora de actividades de dicha institución compartió que esta iniciativa tiene el propósito de promover la lengua francesa y los valores que representa, tales como la diversidad cultural, el diálogo intercultural, la solidaridad y la cooperación internacional. “Buscamos visibilizar la riqueza cultural del espacio francófono, fortalecer los lazos entre los países y comunidades que lo integran y fomentar el intercambio artístico, cultural, deportivo, gastronómico, y fortalecer vínculos de amistad entre las comunidades francófonas que convergen en México. El festival surgió después de la pandemia y los invitados de honor en ediciones anteriores han sido Marruecos, Bélgica, México y Líbano tratamos de invitar a países que tienen representatividad en México y hasta el momento hemos tenido muy buena respuesta, al grado que han participado los cónsules de estos países en nuestras actividades. El año pasado de forma global hemos contado con cerca de mil asistentes a todas las actividades y este año esperamos un flujo similar”, dijo.

García agregó en llamada telefónica: “Durante la inauguración tendremos la participación de la Excelentísima Señora Delphine Borione, Embajadora de Francia en México, el Excelentísimo Señor Nguyen Van Hai, Embajador de Việt Nam en México, el Ingeniero Alberto Weill Brean y el señor Laurent Houdebine Presidente del Consejo Directivo y Director General del Club France. Una de las principales actividades de la inauguración será la develación la escultura Marianne ou la Liberté de la Artista Plástica francesa Claire Becker que es el símbolo emblemático de los valores de la República Francesa y con la cual Club France conmemora el bicentenario de las relaciones diplomáticas Francia-México integrando la obra como un nuevo punto de encuentro”.

El evento continuará en L’ Espace con la ceremonia de inauguración del Festival de la Francofonía y Primavera, a cargo Excelentísimo Señor Nguyen Van Hai, Embajador de Việt Nam en México. Es importante destacar que este año se conmemora el 200 aniversario de las relaciones diplomáticas entre México y Francia, lo que próximamente dará origen a un programa especial en el Club France.

MARIANNE OU LA LIBERTÉ (MARIANNE O LA LIBERTAD)

Realizada en bronce con 3.4 m de altura, la escultura de la artista plástica francesa Claire Becker, no solo representa a la República, sino a la libertad consciente y la capacidad de sembrar proyectos propios.
La obra instalada, representa un gesto de amistad y cooperación entre Francia-México, así como un homenaje al intercambio histórico y humano que une a ambas naciones, celebrando en este 2026, doscientos años de relación diplomática.
«Construí la obra como, me imagino, se escribe una sinfonía, con cada forma y volumen entrando en el momento preciso para crear armonías y resonancias. A pesar de ser sólida, no es nunca estática» afirma Claire Becker, cuya obra ha sido expuesta en foros internacionales como la Bienal de Venecia y varias exposiciones a nivel internacional”.
La pieza integra elementos cargados de significado. La bandera, como una extensión del cuerpo de Marianne y de sí misma, que se eleva como un ala protectora, y la semilla sostenida con firmeza, representa los proyectos personales y universales que requieren cuidado y siembra.
Asimismo, la obra establece un diálogo con los valores del Club France, vinculando los procesos creativos de los artistas con la perseverancia necesaria en la disciplina deportiva para alcanzar la victoria.

MARIANNE OU LA LIBERTÉ (MARIANNE OR LIBERTY)

Made of bronze and standing 3.4 meters tall, this sculpture by French artist Claire Becker represents not only the Republic, but also conscious freedom and the capacity to pursue one’s own projects.

The installed artwork represents a gesture of friendship and cooperation between France and Mexico, as well as a tribute to the historical and human exchange that unites both nations, celebrating two hundred years of diplomatic relations in 2026.

“I constructed the work as I imagine one composes a symphony, with each form and volume entering at the precise moment to create harmonies and resonances. Despite its solidity, it is never static,” states Claire Becker, whose work has been exhibited in international forums such as the Venice Biennale and various other international exhibitions.
The piece integrates elements laden with meaning. The flag, as an extension of Marianne’s body and of herself, rising like a protective wing, and the seed held firmly, represent the personal and universal projects that require care and sowing. Likewise, the work establishes a dialogue with the values ​​of Club France, linking the artists’ creative processes with the perseverance necessary in the discipline of sport to achieve victory.
