Rosana Arbelo, ha vuelto después de un periodo de silencio mediático con un proyecto multidisciplinario titulado OMOW (Otro Mundo, Nuestro Mundo / Our World) que incluye nuevas canciones y una docuserie que escribió y dirigió bajo el nombre de ¡Mejor vivir sin miedo!

Se trata de una miniserie autobiográfica de tres capítulos que presentó en las secciones Showcase de series, Cinema Libre y Son de Cine in-Edit del FICG.

Dijo que esta producción audiovisual está dedicada a su público que no la ha soltado nunca y se mostró entusiasmada por el concierto que tendrá el 2 de mayo en el Centro Cultural Cantoral de la Ciudad de México. También este año la cantautora celebra el 30 aniversario de Lunas Rotas, su álbum debut que la catapultó a la fama.

Rosana Arbelo has returned after a period of media silence with a multidisciplinary project titled OMOW (Otro Mundo, Nuestro Mundo / Our World), which includes new songs and a docuseries she wrote and directed called ¡Mejor vivir sin miedo! (Better to Live Without Fear!).

It is a three-part autobiographical miniseries that she presented in the Showcase, Cinema Libre, and Son de Cine in-Edit sections of the FICG (Guadalajara International Film Festival).

She said that this audiovisual production is dedicated to her fans who have never let her go and expressed her enthusiasm for the concert she will give on May 2nd at the Cantoral Cultural Center in Mexico City. This year, the singer-songwriter also celebrates the 30th anniversary of Lunas Rotas (Broken Moons), her debut album that catapulted her to fame.

Lola Dueñas, la actriz española ganadora de los premios Goya por Mar adentro (2004) y Yo también (2006), y una de las homenajeadas en esta edición 41 del FICG protagonizó la charla Actuar desde la fragilidad en la que compartió algo de su extensa experiencia.
Al lado de sus colegas las actrices Coty Camacho y Trinidad González, la homenajeada dijo: “La fragilidad y sensibilidad sirve para poder ser dirigida, te dan la capacidad de accionar a través de una palabra o frase otorgada por el director” y agregó: “Yo trabajo mucho, sobre todo el texto, trabajo en ello para saber qué es lo que necesita el personaje, cómo interactúa con los otros personajes y también con el entorno. Al público hay que darle todo perfecto”, dijo.
Dueñas compartió que los jóvenes deben gozar de cada uno de sus papeles y que fueran obedientes y propositivos, siempre con el fin de aportar a la película y de generar calidad: “La actuación es una meditación en la que tienes que estar pendiente de todo. Es una entrega y es entregar todo. Lo mejor es disfrutar del momento, desprenderse de una misma”, dijo. El jueves 23 de abril se proyectó la película Mar adentro, como parte del homenaje que se le ha rendido.

Lola Dueñas, the Spanish actress who won Goya Awards for The Sea Inside (2004) and Me Too (2006), and one of the honorees at this 41st edition of the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG), headlined the talk «Acting from a place of fragility,» in which she shared some of her extensive experience.

Alongside her colleagues, actresses Coty Camacho and Trinidad González, the honoree said: «Fragility and sensitivity are useful for being directed; they give you the ability to act through a word or phrase given by the director.» She added: «I work a lot, especially on the text. I work on it to know what the character needs, how they interact with the other characters, and also with the environment. Everything has to be perfect for the audience,» she said.

Dueñas shared that young people should enjoy each of their roles and be obedient and proactive, always with the goal of contributing to the film and generating quality: “Acting is a meditation in which you have to be aware of everything. It’s a commitment, and it’s about giving your all. The best thing is to enjoy the moment, to let go of yourself,” she said. On Thursday, April 23, the film The Sea Inside was screened as part of the tribute being paid to her.
