Ediciones La Rana publicó recientemente Amor y Rabia, una compilación de 24 textos escritos para la escena del destacado dramaturgo David Olguín, de los cuáles seis son inéditos y 18 han sido representados a lo largo de México.

El también director de teatro detalló: “La compilación incluye La nostalgia, un texto que me pidió Ludwik Margules en 1984 y algunas de las últimas obras que escribí en 2023. Me sorprendió la puesta editorial, publicar teatro es muy dificil. Antes de este libro había publicado cerca de 23 textos en 40 años de trabajo, y finalmente ya logré publicar otros 24. Para mí es un recuento, un corpus enorme de material, una apuesta generosa muy fuerte de la editorial que aprecio mucho porque aunque se dice fácil no lo es, pensemos en que son 1,200 páginas y que de alguna forma representan 40 años de producción escénica”.

Olguín dijo sentirse satisfecho de que el público puede encontrar en este libro, La belleza que tuvo más de 150 representaciones en la Ciudad de México, La exageracíón que también tuvo larga vida y la obra que da título al libro: Amor y Rabia que se estrenó hace dos o tres años”. Agregó: “De las seis obras que no se han representado y que incluí en el libro, tres son trabajos de juventud. Son obras breves que me sorprendieron cuando las volví a releer y descubrí que podían ser trabajadas como obras breves para que pudieran ser interesantes como piezas de repertorio en escuelas de teatro. El teatro también se lee. Considero que el libro es interesante para fomentar la figura del dramaturgo. Respeto mucho las diversas corrientes de teatro incluso las que tratan de borrar la figura del dramaturgo pero, hacer teatro escrito por un autor es lo que más me atrae”.

They are short plays that surprised me when I reread them and discovered that they could be adapted as short pieces to be interesting as repertoire in theater schools. Theater is also read. I greatly respect the various theater movements, even those that try to erase the role of the playwright, but creating theater written by an author is what attracts me most.”

Ediciones La Rana, que coordina la Dirección General de Editorial y Publicaciones del Estado de Guanajuato se prepara para celebrar su 30 Aniversario en 2026, según anunció su directora Katia Nilo Fernández, quien compartió que uno de los actuales ejes de la dependencia es promover a escala internacional a autores guanajuatenses y prueba de ello es la más reciente edición de 24 libretos escritos por el dramaturgo David Olguín. .

La funcionaria dijo que la nueva administración que encabeza, inició actividades en septiembre de 2025 y se ha propuesto como uno de sus principales ejes de trabajo la vinculación con autores y autras guanajuatenses, además de la conservar la creación y distribución de contenidos que se producen en dicho estado con la idea de promover su fondo de más de 320 libros e ir más allá de 20 libros publicados anualmente, una cifra que han mantenido de forma constante en los últimos cinco años.

“Nos interesa muchoa partir de la venta de derechos literarios proyectar la obra de autores guanajuatenses a nivel nacional e internacional a través de la venta de derechos de obras de algunos de nuestros autores al igual que fortalecer la formación de autores guanajuatenses, a través de un Open Meet permanente en el que invitamos a autores a leer su obra en público. algunos autores y estamos buscando que se publiquen en otros paises y lenguas y fortalecer la formación de autores guaanajuatenses”, dijo la directora y añadió: “Estamos haciendo un Open Meet para que cualquier persona que hace poesía venga y comparta sus textos en lecturas abiertas al público”.

Nilo Fernández, detalló que actualmente cuentan con 15 colecciones que ayudan a rescatar y visibilizar el Patrimonio Cultural de Guanajuato y el trabajo de autores guanajuatenses de la talla de Jorge Ibargüengoitica, Efraín Huerta, Efraín Hernández, o Minerva Reynosa, que trabaja mucho desde la lengua liminal, desde la exploración de otras formas de hablar de la poesía, temas fronterizos y migración”. EDICIONES LA RANA CELEBRATES ITS 30TH ANNIVERSARY IN 2026

We are also working to have some of our authors’ work published in other countries and languages, and to further develop the skills of Guanajuato authors,” said the director, adding, “We are holding an Open Meet so that anyone who writes poetry can come and share their work in public readings.”
