La Casa ITESO Clavigero alberga la exposición Mar dulce, mar de mentiras. Iconografía de Chapala del 16 de abril a la primera semana de agosto

La muestra se compone de pinturas de Carlos Villaseñor Arriola, Carlos Villaseñor Gutiérrez, José Vizcarra y Guadalupe Zuno, al igual que postales y fotografías de Winfield Scott, Hugo Breheme, José María Lupercio, Librado García Smarth, José Edmundo Sánchez y Jesús González Miranda, además de un mapa de viaje de la región elaborado en 1768 y firmado por sus autores.

De acuerdo con Gutierre Aceves, curador de la muestra, la exhibición es el resultado de la revisión de un acervo de más de 700 piezas que ofrecen la memoria del lago y transmiten narrativas personales y colectivas, todas de los siglos XIX y parte del siglo XX, época que se considera la de mayor esplendor del lago.

La muestra es una acción más que busca resaltar la importancia simbólica, cultural y económica de Chapala, al lado de los Proyectos de Aplicación Profesional que incluyen una investigación en Mezcala y la nominación al lago de Chapala en el I World Monuments Watch 2027 impulsada por el Laboratorio de Territorio, Patrimonio y Paisaje (Labter) del ITESO.

Staiti fue una pieza fundamental del rock en español, siendo responsable de riffs icónicos en canciones como «Lamento Boliviano» y «La Muralla Verde». Tras la muerte del vocalista Marciano Cantero en 2022, había asumido también el rol de cantante principal para mantener vivo el legado de la banda.
