JALISCO. Guadalajara Celebrates its October Festival
El público puede disfrutar de conciertos, expo venta artesanal y gastronómica y juegos mecánicos entre otras atracciones del 3 de octubre al 4 de noviembre en el núcleo del Auditorio Benito Juárez
The public can enjoy concerts, a craft and food exhibition, and rides, among other attractions, from October 3 to November 4 at the Benito Juárez Auditorium.

Las Fiestas de Octubre de Guadalajara se realizan del 3 de octubre al 4 de noviembre bajo el lema Tradición que nos llena de orgullo en el núcleo del Auditorio Benito Juárez, en donde se concentrará una gran variedad de juegos mecánicos, expo venta artesanal y gastronómica y atracciones como el módulo de la Canica Azul que este año tiene por tema Dulce Tradición y que se compondrá de siete módulos inspirados en los dulces típicos de Jalisco.
También se contará con un pabellón titulado El Alma del Mundial, pensado para los amantes del futbol en donde habrá conferencias de leyendas mundialistas.
Como cada año el Sistema de Tren Eléctrico Urbano y mi Macro Periférico extenderán su horario de servicio a la 01:00 horas en los días de mayor afluencia.
Según los organizadores el escenario del Foro Principal se amplió este año, y aumentaron los lugares de zonas preferentes con precios de los 200 a los 2 mil 200 pesos. Entre los invitados distacan Caifanes, Marco Antonio Muñiz, las esperadas Fiestas de la Radio, el encuentro Canta Jalisco Canta, Mijares y Fiesta Diversa. De acuerdo con la Agencia Estatal de Entretenimiento de Jalisco, el 55% del aforo del Foro Principal será gratuito, lo que significa que más de 4 mil espacios por concierto estarán disponibles para quienes adquieran su boleto general de la feria.
Respecto al palenque la oferta va desde Alfredo Olivas y el Grupo Firme a Carín León, Julión Álvarez, Alejandro Fernández, Pancho Barraza, Banda MS, Christian Nodal, Edith Márquez, Remmy Valenzuela, Jorge Medina & José Cuén, Conjunto Primavera, Marisela, Gabito Ballesteros y Luis Conriquez.

Guadalajara’s October Festival takes place from October 3 to November 4 under the theme «Tradition That Fills Us with Pride» at the Benito Juárez Auditorium. This year, the festival will feature a wide variety of rides, a craft and food exhibition, and attractions such as the Blue Marble module. This year, the theme is «Sweet Tradition,» and will consist of seven modules inspired by typical Jalisco sweets.
There will also be a pavilion titled «The Soul of the World Cup,» designed for soccer fans, where World Cup legends will speak.
As every year, the Urban Electric Train System and the Macro Periférico will extend their service hours to 1:00 a.m. on peak days.
According to the organizers, the Main Forum stage was expanded this year, and the number of seats in the preferred zones has increased, from 200 to 2,200 pesos. Guests include Caifanes, Marco Antonio Muñiz, the highly anticipated Fiestas de la Radio, the Canta Jalisco Canta event, Mijares, and Fiesta Diversa. According to the Jalisco State Entertainment Agency, 55% of the Main Forum’s capacity will be free, meaning that more than 4,000 seats per concert will be available to those who purchase a general admission ticket for the fair.

La edición X de la Muestra Nacional de Imágenes Científicas inicia hoy con la proyección de Antropoceno la sexta extinción de Alberto Cortés, una coproducción TV UNAM y Claro Video hoy a las 18:30 horas en el Centro Cultural Universitario de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (CCU de la UNAM), según anunció Roxana Eisenmann.
El resto de las proyecciones, homenajes y conversatorios se realizarán en dicha sede hasta el 28 de septiembre. Después la muestra se replicará con proyecciones presenciales y en línea en 14 sedes más de la Ciudad de México hasta el 19 de octubre. Estos lugares son: Cine Club el Gato Azul; en el Centro Cultural Xavier Villaurrutia; en el Centro Cultural Bella Época, en Cine Lido del FCE; en el Cine Club de la Facultad de Arquitectura de la UNAM; en el CAM 100 de la Dirección de Educación Especial SEP en CONFE; en el Centro Cultural España en México; en el Museo Yancuic; en el Cine Club Xicalco; en el Museo Tezozómoc de Ciencia y Tecnología del IPN; en el Centro Cultural José Martí; en Barco Utopía; y en el Cinema del Centro de Estudios Superiores Rosario Castellanos, Justo Sierra.
Este año la MUNIC rinde un homenae a la destacada divulgadora científica, especializada en medios escritos y audiovisuales Martha Duhne Backhauss el jueves 25 de septiembre a las 12 horas en la Sala Julio Bracho del CCU – UNAM.
Entre las novedades de este año, Chile es el invitado de honor y presentará los títulos: ¡Hola Flinko! – Viajemos con Filnko al Río Amazonas y ¡Hola Flinko! – Viajemos con Filnko a las costas colombianas.
También se exhibirán por primera ocasión trabajos de la nueva categoría: Cápsulas y cortometrajes producios por niñas, niños y jóvenes. Por otro lado en la categoría Mujeres en la Ciencia, se otorgará el reconocimiento especial Marco Julio Linares Quintero a Luisa Cantú Ríos realizadora de Ciencia con A: Refugio Rodríguez Vázquez.
Además de proyecciones se tendrá la Mesa Redonda “La inteligencia artificial en proyectos audiovisuales” el viernes 26 de septiembre a las 17:00 horas en la Escuela Nacional de Artes Cinematográficas, ENAC (Mario de La Cueva s/n, C.U., Coyoacán, 04510, CDMX). Se realizarán también los ANECDOTARIOS que serán publicados en la página web y en las redes sociales de MUNIC en septiembre y octubre. Y como cada año, MUNIC estará presente en Cine en tu ciudad de ProCine CdMx, esta vez con los documentales Última llamada: seis especies contra la extinción, Carey y el Hijo de Rey Neptuno y Ndatu Savi – La suerte del agua.

The 10th edition of the National Exhibition of Scientific Images begins today with the screening of Antropoceno la sexta extinción by Alberto Cortés, a TV UNAM and Claro Video co-production, today at 6:30 p.m. at the University Cultural Center of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (CCU of UNAM), as announced by Roxana Eisenmann.
The remaining screenings, tributes, and discussions will take place at the same venue until September 28. The exhibition will then be replicated with in-person and online screenings at 14 additional venues in Mexico City until October 19. These locations are: Cine Club el Gato Azul; at the Xavier Villaurrutia Cultural Center; at the Bella Época Cultural Center; at the Cine Lido del FCE (FCE); at the UNAM School of Architecture Film Club; at the CAM 100 of the SEP Special Education Directorate at CONFE (National Electoral Council of Mexico); at the Spain Cultural Center in Mexico; at the Yancuic Museum; at the Cine Club Xicalco; at the Tezozómoc Museum of Science and Technology of the IPN (National Institute of Technology); at the José Martí Cultural Center; at Barco Utopía; and at the Cinema of the Rosario Castellanos Center for Higher Education, Justo Sierra.
This year, the MUNIC pays tribute to the distinguished science communicator, specialized in print and audiovisual media, Martha Duhne Backhauss, on Thursday, September 25 at 12 noon in the Julio Bracho Room of the CCU – UNAM.
Among this year’s new entries, Chile is the guest of honor and will present the titles: ¡Hola Flinko! – Viajemos con Filnko al Río Amazonas y ¡Hola Flinko! – Viajemos con Filnko a las costas colombianas.
Also, works from the new category: Capsules and Short Films Produced by Children and Young People will be screened for the first time. And as every year, MUNIC will be present at ProCine CdMx’s Cine en tu ciudad (Cine in Your City), this time with the documentaries Última llamada: seis especias contra la existencia (Last Call: Six Species Against Extinction), Carey y el Hijo de Rey Neptuno (Carey and the Son of King Neptune), and Ndatu Savi – La suerte del agua (Ndatu Savi – The Luck of Water).
