Asociaciones civiles, instituciones educativas e instancias gubernamentales se unen para ofrecer un programa de actividades que se realiza del 24 de octubre al 2 de noviembre en diversas sedes

Entre las diversas opciones para celebrar el Día de Muertos en Jalisco, destaca el Festival Desfile Día de Muertos Guadalajara 2025 que ya comenzó sus actividades con la realización de una pasarela de moda Catrina y la inauguración de la exposición Representaciones de la Muerte en el Arte con obras de alumnos del Centro Universitario de Arte, Arquitectura y Diseño de la Universidad de Guadalajara y artistas invitados, en las instalaciones de la Secretaría de Turismo del Estado de Jalisco ubicada. También el sábado 25 de noviembre se realiza la inauguración de la Magna Ofrenda y exposición de Tapetes Tradicionales que se ha instalado en el Paseo Fray Antonio Alcalde y que permanecerá hasta el 2 de noviembre.
Se trata de un festival incluyente y sin fines de lucro organizado por la sociedad civil en colaboración con Lazoas Entre El Arte A.C.. El grueso de las actividades se desarrollan el 1 y 2 de noviembre.

POLICÍAS SE CARACTERIZAN DE CALAVERAS Y SE UNEN A LOS FESTEJOS


La Comisaría de Guadalajara se une a los festejos del día de muertos y a partir del 24 de octubre los oficiales que cuidan a la ciudadanía en el cuadro principal del Centro Histórico tapatío estarán caracterizados de catrines y catrinas para tener un mayor acercamiento a la población.
Se trata de elementos de las corporaciones Gamas, Lobos, Deavín, guardabosques y proximidad, quienes además, participarán en el desfile de día de muertos de este sábado, el cual se realiza a partir de las 6 de la tarde.

INVITAN A DESFILE UNIVERSITARIO DEL DÍA DE MUERTOS QUE SE REALIZARÁ DE LA EX PENAL DE OBLATOS A LA CALLE GALEANA EL 1 DE NOVIEMBRE

Catrinas, altares de muertos, calaveras y actividades culturales convocarán a más de 15 mil personas en el Desfile de Día de Muertos y Festival de la Cultura, Artes y Literatura (Festival Calfest) organizado por el Centro Universitario de Arte, Arquitectura y Diseño (CUAAD) y la Preparatoria 14 del SEMS los días 30 y 31 de octubre, y 1 y 2 de noviembre.


Luis Fernando Arciniega Yáñez, profesor e investigador adscrito al Departamento de Teorías e Historias del CUAAD, dijo que tras 19 años de trayectoria del festival, la tradición del Desfile de Día de Muertos sigue viva.


González Zubieta explicó que el desfile arrancará el 1 de noviembre, a las 16:00 horas, en el parque de la Expenal hasta la calle Galeana, los carros alegóricos circularán hasta la calle 8 de Julio.
Carolina Gómez Saldívar, Jefa del Departamento de Humanidades y Sociedad de la Prepa 14, dijo que organizan el Calfest, un festival cultural, artístico y literario que celebramos año con año con cuatro sedes: la Prepa 14, el Módulo La Experiencia, la explanada del DIF 8 y el CUAAD”, informó.
Andrea Martínez Parrilla, Coordinadora de Extensión del CUAAD, detalló las actividades: en la explanada del DIF 8 se presentará la Big Band Jazz del Departamento de Música, dirigida por el maestro Juan Valdivia; además de la participación del grupo de estudiantes de teatro “Chaneques company” de la licenciatura en Artes escénicas para la expresión teatral, entre otras actividades.
En la sede de Huentitán se inaugurará el altar de muertos en honor al licenciado Raúl Padilla López, a las 10:00 horas; además, participarán estudiantes de la licenciatura en Diseño de interiores y ambientación, dirigidos por la doctora Ana Munguía; actividades a las que se sumará el altar de estudiantes de la Prepa 14. El programa se puede consultar en las redes del CUAAD y la Preparatoria 14.

LA ZONA DEL VESTIR DE MEDRANO TENDRÁ SU PROPIA CELEBRACIÓN DE DÍA DE MUERTOS

Comerciantes de La Zona del Vestir Medrano se han organizado para celebrar el Día de Muertos bajo el lema «Tradición y Vida». El programa de actividades lo realizarán el 1 de noviembre, desde las 10:00 a las 20:00 horas. Habrá montaje de altares, ofrendas, y se premiará el mejor altar y la mejor Catrina. EL FESTIVAL DE PAN DE MUERTO SE REALIZARÁ EN DOS SEDES

Del 31 de octubre al 2 de noviembre en el Parque Monterrey y Club de leones, en Vallarta San Jorge y Av. De los Leones 75 Colonia Tepeyac respectivamente se realizará el Festival del Pan de Muerto de las 14:00 a las 20:00 horas el viernes, de las 12:00 a las 20:00 horas el sábado y el domingo de las 10:00 a las 14:00 horas respectivamente. Además del clásico pan de muerto, los organizadores ofrecerán otras versiones gourmet, algunas saladas y otras veganas.

POLICE OFFICERS DRESS UP AS CALAVERAS AND JOIN THE CELEBRATIONS


The Guadalajara Police Station joins the Day of the Dead celebrations. Starting October 24, the officers who guard the public in the main square of Guadalajara’s Historic Center will dress up as catrines and catrinas to better connect with the public.
These officers are members of the Gamas, Lobos, and Deavín police forces, as well as the park rangers and community groups. They will also participate in this Saturday’s Day of the Dead parade, which begins at 6 p.m.

UNIVERSITY INVITATION TO THE DAY OF THE DEAD PARADE, WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE FROM THE EX-OBLATOS PRISON TO GALEANA STREET ON NOVEMBER 1

Catrinas, altars of the dead, skulls, and cultural activities will draw more than 15,000 people to the Day of the Dead Parade and Festival of Culture, Arts, and Literature (Calfest Festival), organized by the University Center for Art, Architecture, and Design (CUAAD) and SEMS High School 14 on October 30 and 31, and November 1 and 2.

Luis Fernando Arciniega Yáñez, professor and researcher at the Department of Theories and History at CUAAD, said that after 19 years of the festival, the tradition of the Day of the Dead Parade is still alive.

THE BREAD OF THE DEAD FESTIVAL WILL BE HELD IN TWO VENUES

La edición 23 del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia contó con una pléyade de invitados distinguidos.

El Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM) inauguró su 23ª edición con la película El agente secreto, de Kleber Mendonça Filho.

Durante la Ceremonia de Inauguración del 23º FICM, Kleber Mendonça Filho director de esta cinta que ganó el Premio al mejor Director y Mejor Actor (Wagner Moura) en el pasado Festival de Cine de Cannes, fue reconocido a través de la develación de su butaca, la cual será colocada en la sala 5 de Cinépolis Morelia Centro.

La ceremonia contó con la presencia del director brasileño; así como de Alejandro Ramírez, presidente del FICM; Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas Batel, vicepresidente; Daniela Michel, fundadora y Directora General del festival; Daniela Alatorre, directora del Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE); y Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, gobernador de Michoacán.

UNA LARGA LISTA DE INVITADOS DESTACADOS

Previo a la proyección de IN-I: In Motion, dirigida por Juliette Binoche, la Invitada de Honor del 23er Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM), recibió el Premio a la Excelencia Artística como reconocimiento a su trayectoria y a las valiosas aportaciones que ha hecho a la industria cinematográfica.
En el evento estuvieron presentes Daniela Michel, fundadora y directora general del FICM; Alejandro Ramírez, Presidente del festival, y Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas Batel, Vicepresidente


Otras de las figuras destacadas invitades fue la actriz Jodie Foster quien realizó diversas actividades entre las cuáles destacó la charla en la que habló de la película Vie Privée (2025) de Rebecca Zlotowski y en la que interpreta a una psiquiatra que investiga un posible sicido de una de sus pacientes, quien dijo haberse enamorado del FICM. Otras de las actividades en las que apareció fue con su pareja Alexandre Hedison quien presentó su cortometraje Alok.

Stellan Skarsgård presentó Sentimental Value (2025), del aclamado director danés-noruego Joachim Trier habló sobre este filme que se presentó recientemente en el Festival de Cine de Cannes en donde ganó el Gran Premio del Jurado. Skarsgård ha sido reconocido en los Globos de Oro y en el Festival de Cine de Berlín.

Cherien Dabis, directora, productora, guionista y actriz palestina-estadunidense, Lo que queda de ti (2024) que recién estrenó en el Festival de Cine de Sundance, inspirada en el devenir de una familia palestina. La cinta cuenta con la producción ejecutiva de Mark Ruffalo y Javier Bardem, es la propuesta de Jordania para competir en la categoría de Mejor Película Internacional en los próximos Premios Oscar.

En este marco del FICM , Tinta, Sociedad de Escritores Audiovisuales y Cinematográficos de México A.C., rindió un homenaje a Sabina Berman. Su director Carlos Cuarón habló con la escritora, dramaturga y guionista mexicana quien escribió el guión de la nueva película de Alejandro González Iñárritu que se estrena en 2026.

Previo a la proyección de Frankenstein, los organizadores proyectaron un mensaje de Guillermo del Toro quien lamentó no haber podido asistir y en el que compartió: “Dónde estamos y quiénes somos cambia conforme la vida nos esculpe a golpes y Dios dicta la forma. Cuando era niño y muy Catolico pensé contar la historia de Dios Padre y Dios hijo unidos por la investigación del dolor y la muerte —en ese último momento de duda en la cruz—, pero todo a través de Frankenstein. Pensé en hablar de lo extraño que es ser hijo de un hombre difícil de descifrar, pero con el tiempo, aún mientras me comportaba como hijo, me volví padre yo también. Y a pesar de evitarlo por décadas, descubrí a mi padre en el espejo cuando cumplí los 42. Tuve que parar el ciclo del dolor antes de pasarlo a mis hijas, y decidí que las dos más poderosas herramientas eran el perdón y la aceptación. Todo esto está en Frankenstein”, escribió el director.

También se realizó una conferencia prensa con el cineasta, actor e invitado especial del festival, Gael García Bernal con motivo de la proyección del 25 aniversario de estreno de Amores Perros y la presentación de otras cintas que ha producido y del estreno de la cinta Magallanes, del cineasta filipino Lav Diaz, en la que interpreta al destacado navegante que realizó la histórica expedición con la Flota de las Especias.
En la lista de invitados especiales estuvo Olivia Harrison quien presentó la película Beatles ’64 del director David Tedeschi y producida por Martin Scorsese quien envió un mensaje grabado en donde hablaba del filme.

Parte del elenco de El callejón de los milagros de Jorge Fons, al igual que Amat Escalante celebraron los 30 años de dicha cinta y los 20 años de Sangre, respectivamente.

Por otro lado, Daniel Giménez Cacho estrenó su ópera prima como director titulada Juana, de la misma forma en que Arturo y Roy Ambriz presentaron Soy Frankelda, y Lucrecia Martel habló de su más reciente película Nuestra tierra (2024). Otros invitados fueron Charli Kaufman, Trisha Ziff, Eddie Muller, Robin Campillo.

Within the framework of FICM, Tinta, the Society of Audiovisual and Film Writers of Mexico A.C., paid tribute to Sabina Berman. A press conference was also held with filmmaker, actor, and special guest of the festival, Gael García Bernal, to mark the 25th anniversary screening of Amores Perros and the presentation of other films he has produced. Bernal also celebrated the premiere of Magellan, by Filipino filmmaker Lav Diaz, in which he plays the distinguished navigator who made the historic expedition with the Spice Fleet.
The special guest list included Olivia Harrison, who presented the film Beatles ’64 by director David Tedeschi and produced by Martin Scorsese. Harrison sent a recorded message discussing the film.
