La Orquesta de Cámara Higinio Ruvalcaba de la Universidad de Guadalajara presentará el sábado 16 de mayo en la Sala 2 del Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas un programa dedicado al Triple concierto de Beethoven, una de las obras más representativas del compositor alemán. La pieza será interpretada por tres solistas que dialogan constantemente con la orquesta: violín, violonchelo y piano, generando un equilibrio entre música de cámara y sinfónica.
El director Sergio Ramírez Cárdenas explicó que la obra destaca por integrar el trío clásico dentro de una estructura orquestal, con especial protagonismo del violonchelo en la exposición de los temas principales. Integranres del Coro del Estado de Jalisco se manifestaron pacíficamente durante la presentación que realizaron la noche del 13 de mayo en el Teatro Alarife Martín Casillas de Guadalajara, debido a que temen por su permanencia laboral ante la convocatoria a audiciones, lanzada por la Secretaría de Cultura de la cual dependen, y que busca renovar integrantes de la agrupación.
Cecilia Ledesma Díaz, con once años de laborar en dicha agrupación dijo en nombre de ella y diez integrantes más que no han recibido renovación de contrato. Los inconformes denuncian evaluaciones con altos niveles de dificultad técnica, falta de transparencia y ausencia de garantías laborales pese a años de trabajo continuo bajo esquemas de honorarios.
Mientras los músicos reclaman profesionalización con capacitación y condiciones dignas, también señalan posibles prácticas de favoritismo y temor a represalias dentro del sector cultural estatal. Por su parte, Cultura Jalisco sostiene que no existen despidos y que las audiciones forman parte de un proceso regular para conformar el coro rumbo a 2026.

El Zoológico Guadalajara dio a conocer que el 26 de diciembre, 3 y 28 de marzo nacieron en cautiverio tres jirafas: Noel, Jabari y Mamba respectivamente.
El suceso lo ha celebrado el parque dibido a que se trata de tres crías de jirafa reticulada, especie considerada en peligro. Los nuevos integrantes ya se encuentran en su pradera junto a sus mamás y bajo cuidado veterinario permanente.
A través de un comunicado personal la Dirección de Comunicación del parque detalló que Bakit es el padre de las tres crías y forma parte del programa de conservación de jirafa reticulada del zoológico. Los nacimientos son resultado de los esfuerzos de manejo genético y bienestar animal que la institución realiza en colaboración con otros zoológicos de México.

El equipo de veterinarios reporta que las tres crías están sanas, con buen peso y desarrollo. Hasta el momento interactúan únicamente con sus mamás y son visibles para los visitantes en el área del jirafas al final del parque, junto al mirador de la barranca.

The Guadalajara Zoo announced that three giraffes—Noel, Jabari, and Mamba—were born in captivity on December 26, March 3, and March 28, respectively. The zoo celebrated the event because the three giraffe calves are reticulated giraffes, a species considered endangered. The new arrivals are already in their enclosure with their mothers and under constant veterinary care.
In a statement, the zoo’s Communications Department explained that Bakit is the father of the three calves and is part of the zoo’s reticulated giraffe conservation program. The births are the result of the genetic management and animal welfare efforts that the institution carries out in collaboration with other zoos in Mexico.

The veterinary team reports that the three calves are healthy, with good weight and development. So far, they only interact with their mothers and are visible to visitors in the giraffe area at the end of the park, next to the canyon viewpoint.
