La edición 29 del Festival Cultural de Mayo 2026 inició oficialmente el jueves 7 de mayo con la presentación de la compañía australiana Circa en el Teatro Degollado y se extenderá hasta el 29 de mayo en la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara. Este año, el festival reúne a más de 360 artistas de ocho países diferentes en una cartelera de más de 50 actividades que incluyen circo contemporáneo, danza, música y artes plásticas.

El sábado 23 de mayo se llevará a cabo el concierto «Mujer Mariachi: Herederas del Son» en el Teatro Degollado, celebrando el 20 aniversario del Mariachi Femenil Nuevo Tecalitlán.

El cierre será el 29 de mayo con la Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco, la pianista alemana Lili Silbertein y el director invitado Johannes Wilden.
