Del papel a la luz, es el nombre de la convocatoria en la que el Festival Internacional de Cine de Guadalajara (FICG) y la Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara (FIL) invitan a participar a representantes de casas productoras, plataformas de streaming y contenidos interesados en adquirir derechos de adaptación de obras literarias iberoamericanas para cine, series o plataformas digitales.

Alfonso Miller coordinador de Industria del FICG recordó que el programa de pitcheo editorial en dicho encuentro cinematográfico se realiza desde hace cinco años. “Han participado cerca de cinco editoriales por edición, de manera que hasta este momento han colaborado 25. Es una actividad muy histriónica es el único pitcheo en su tipo, todo se hace en un formato de happy hour, en un salón con cerca de 200 personas en donde las editoriales están pitcheando todo e tiempo. Ahora queremos cerrar más ese vínculo, a través de un proceso inverso, es decir,  invitando a casas productoras a participar en FIL. La convocatoria es online y está en a página de FICG”.

Miller agregó: “Hemos recibido muchas preguntas. Una de las más frecuentes es ¿qué tipo de adaptaciones se van a ofrecer? En realidad todas las editoriales pueden pitchear a estas compañías. La inscripción es gratis. El premio es que los representantes de las compañías se ganan un vuelo redondo desde donde residen a Guadalajara, se les dan sus noches de hospedaje, acreditación en FIL, apareces en el catálogo y las mejores condiciones para que realicen sus actividades de gestión del 29 de noviembre al 7 de diciembre en el Salón de Autores del Área de Profesionales de la edición 39 de la FIL Guadalajara. ”. «From Paper to Light» is the name of the call for submissions to which the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) and the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) invite representatives from production houses, streaming platforms, and content providers interested in acquiring adaptation rights for Ibero-American literary works for film, series, or digital platforms.
