La Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara, la Editorial Universidad de Guadalajara el Sistema de Educación Media Superior y Radio Universidad de Guadalajara convocan a jóvenes entre 15 y 20 años a participar en el concurso de microrrelato “Un libro te salva”.
La convocatoria parte de una idea expresada por la escritora mexicana Elena Poniatowska en la FIL Guadalajara, en su edición de 2013: “un libro te acompaña y muchas veces te salva”. A partir de esta premisa, el concurso busca reunir las voces, experiencias e imaginarios de una nueva generación de lectores y explorar las distintas formas en que los libros pueden acompañar y transformar vidas. Por ello, las y los aspirantes podrán abordar el tema desde cualquier perspectiva en un microrrelato de máximo 300 palabras, incluido el título. Cada participante podrá realizar un solo registro y enviar un único texto.
El fallo del jurado, que será inapelable, considerará criterios como originalidad, calidad literaria, capacidad narrativa, uso del lenguaje, construcción del microrrelato y aproximación creativa al tema para seleccionar cinco trabajos ganadores, los cuales recibirán una tableta como reconocimiento y sus microrrelatos serán producidos por Radio Universidad de Guadalajara para su difusión a través de sus espacios y plataformas. Además, los especialistas en narrativa breve elegirán también a los mejores trabajos para conformar la antología conmemorativa a cargo de la Editorial Universidad de Guadalajara.
La edición 40 de la FIL Guadalajara realiza del 28 de noviembre al 6 de diciembre en Expo Guadalajara, con Italia como Invitado de Honor.

The call for entries stems from an idea expressed by Mexican writer Elena Poniatowska at the 2013 edition of FIL Guadalajara: «a book keeps you company and often saves you.» Based on this premise, the contest seeks to gather the voices, experiences, and imaginative worlds of a new generation of readers and to explore the various ways books can accompany and transform lives. Consequently, entrants may approach the theme from any perspective in a flash fiction piece of no more than 300 words, including the title. Each participant may register only once and submit a single text.
The jury’s decision—which will be final—will consider criteria such as originality, literary quality, narrative ability, use of language, story construction, and creative approach to the theme to select five winning entries. Winners will receive a tablet as a prize, and their stories will be produced by Radio University of Guadalajara for broadcast across its channels and platforms. Additionally, specialists in short-form narrative will select the best entries to form a commemorative anthology published by the University of Guadalajara Press.
The 40th edition of FIL Guadalajara will take place from November 28 to December 6 at Expo Guadalajara, featuring Italy as the Guest of Honor.

Gustavo Dudamel cerró oficialmente su histórica etapa de 17 años como director de la Filarmónica de Los Ángeles con el emotivo evento benéfico «A Concert for Venezuela». La película mexicana La Captura (conocida internacionalmente como Facing El Chapo) se estrenó en Netflix el pasado 21 de agosto de 2026. Dirigida por Chava Cartas, la cinta se ha convertido en tendencia por retratar uno de los momentos criminales más importantes de México desde una perspectiva totalmente diferente.
A diferencia de otras series o películas sobre el narcotráfico, esta historia no tiene como protagonista a Joaquín «El Chapo» Guzmán. La trama se enfoca en dos policías federales comunes y corrientes que, de forma accidental durante un patrullaje de rutina en Los Mochis, Sinaloa, interceptan el auto donde huía el capo tras escapar por los túneles de drenaje de la Marina.
