La cultura, la literatura y el conocimiento universitario se encontrarán en la octava edición de la Feria Internacional del Libro de las Universitarias y los Universitarios (FILUNI 2026), que se realizará del 25 al 30 de agosto en el Centro de Exposiciones y Congresos de la UNAM, en Ciudad de México, con entrada libre.

Organizada por la UNAM, la feria reunirá a 422 sellos editoriales de 14 países, 150 expositores y cerca de 370 actividades entre presentaciones de libros, conferencias, talleres, mesas de diálogo y encuentros con autores.

La Universitat de València será la institución invitada de honor, con una delegación de investigadores, escritores y artistas que abordarán temas como memoria histórica, patrimonio cultural, cambio climático, género y cooperación académica. También presentará exposiciones con manuscritos e impresos de los siglos XV y XVI.

Entre las figuras invitadas destacan Angela Davis, Cristina Rivera Garza, David Toscana, Gonzalo Celorio, Jaime Siles y Una Canger, además de autores de México, España, América Latina y otras regiones.

La programación también contempla espacios dedicados a las lenguas indígenas y minorizadas, edición científica, inteligencia artificial, derechos de autor, literatura infantil, bibliotecas y novela gráfica.

Con seis días de actividades, FILUNI 2026 refrenda su importancia como uno de los principales encuentros de la edición universitaria en Iberoamérica, al convertir los libros en punto de encuentro para el diálogo, la reflexión y la construcción de comunidad.

La segunda edición de la Feria Internacional del Libro Puebla (FILIP) 2026 se celebrará del 14 al 23 de agosto, con entrada libre y cerca de 300 actividades gratuitas. El encuentro tendrá como sedes el Zócalo de la Ciudad, el Teatro de la Ciudad y la Capilla del Arte UDLAP, con participación de más de un centenar de editoriales.
La escritora Elena Poniatowska será la embajadora de honor de esta edición, que tendrá a España como país invitado. El programa incluye presentaciones de libros, talleres, charlas, música y actividades escénicas.
Entre los autores invitados destacan Xavier Velasco, quien presentará Mala espina, y Benito Taibo, con Cuchara y Memoria, ambos el 14 de agosto. El domingo 16 será el turno de Freddy Ortega, quien llevará al público su obra Sueños de un Pseudoactor.
La inauguración contará además con la Marching Band Colibríes y el violinista cubano Joel Sierra. Abu Dhabi está convirtiendo la isla de Saadiyat en uno de los grandes epicentros culturales del mundo. El proyecto reúne museos, arte digital y espacios escénicos diseñados por algunos de los arquitectos más reconocidos del planeta, en una apuesta que combina patrimonio, innovación y arquitectura de vanguardia.
El gran acontecimiento de 2026 será la apertura del Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, prevista para el 11 de diciembre, después de dos décadas de espera. Diseñado por Frank Gehry, será la sede más grande de la red Guggenheim y contará con 30 galerías interiores en una superficie construida de aproximadamente 80 mil metros cuadrados.
Su arquitectura destaca por diez enormes conos escultóricos de hasta 88 metros de altura. Inspirados en los tradicionales barjeel, o torres de viento árabes, ayudarán a generar ventilación natural en patios y espacios interiores, una solución especialmente relevante frente a las altas temperaturas del desierto. Gehry también está detrás de Dar al Funoon, “La Casa de las Artes”, un nuevo centro de artes escénicas actualmente en construcción y cuya inauguración está prevista para 2030. El recinto estará dedicado a ópera, teatro, ballet y otros espectáculos en vivo.
La experiencia cultural de Saadiyat se amplía con teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, donde el arte digital reacciona al movimiento, sonido y presencia del visitante, creando instalaciones que cambian constantemente.
