El Festival Internacional de la Danza Danzatlán 2026 celebrará su novena edición del 13 al 16 de agosto en el Centro Cultural Mexiquense Bicentenario (CCMB), en Texcoco, Estado de México, bajo la dirección artística de la reconocida primera bailarina mexicana Elisa Carrillo Cabrera. El encuentro marcará también el inicio del Encuentro Nacional de Danza.
Aunque este año el festival tuvo una reducción presupuestal que llevó a concentrar su programación en cuatro jornadas y presentar una sola gala internacional, la organización aseguró que mantiene su compromiso con la calidad artística y la difusión de la danza.
La programación iniciará el 13 de agosto con el conversatorio “Pregúntale a Elisa”, además de la presentación de El Lago de los Cisnes a cargo de la Academia de Danza del Bosque. Los días 14 y 15 se realizarán ensayos abiertos al público, mientras que el cierre estará a cargo de una clase magistral impartida por Elisa Carrillo el domingo 16 de agosto.
Uno de los momentos más esperados será la Gala Internacional, donde Carrillo interpretará las piezas Transparente y Onegin, acompañada por destacados bailarines como Tatiana Melnik, Motomi Kiyota, Fumi Kaneko, Vadim Muntagirov, Marti Paixá y Braylon Browner.
